Allison McMurter-Hughes has been a practicing lawyer for over 10 years focusing in the areas of Real Estate, Wills and Estates. Allison grew up working at McMurter and Associates in various roles including articling under her father, Brian McMurter, and brings a wealth of practical, skills-based experience to her legal practice.

Allison has long recognized that buying and selling a home is not only a legal process but often the largest financial investment most people will make in their lifetime. No matter how many transactions Allison closes in her career she continues to recognize that each transaction is the most important transaction to her client. Allison uses this empathetic, grounded approach to ensure her clients are expertly guided though their transactions.

Allison views Wills and Estate Planning as an opportunity to help her clients ensure that their hard work will benefit those they love when they pass while also giving them piece of mind during their lifetime. Allison is passionate about planning for loved ones with disabilities having done an intensive program in Disability Law with a placement at ARCH Disability Law Center in Toronto.

Allison has guided many families through the Probate process with care and compassion in an effort to make a sometimes-confusing process as straightforward as possible.

When Allison is not at the office she enjoys road trips with her children and husband, a good
conversation, and a good book.
